Privacy policy

What we collect

• Your email and name from Google or the sign-in link.
• The essays and questions you submit, the reports we create, and your drafts.
• Your settings: target band, exam date, language, voice speed.
• Payment records (amount, date, status). Card and UPI details are handled by Razorpay or PayPal; we never see them.
• Basic usage events and error logs, without your essay text.

How we use it

• To mark your essays and show your progress. That is the only purpose for your essays.
• We send your essay and question to our AI provider only to mark it. Today that is Google Gemini or Cloudflare Workers AI. On Google's free Gemini tier, Google may use submitted text to improve its products and people may review it, so please don't put personal details (names, phone numbers, addresses) in your essays. We will update this page before any change to how your essays are processed.
• We do not sell your data. We do not show ads.

Read-aloud

Read-aloud uses your own device's voices. The text being read does not leave your device for this.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you can access, correct and delete your data. In Account you can download everything and delete your account. For anything else, contact our grievance officer below.

How long we keep it

• Essays and reports: until you delete them or your account.
• Drafts you stop editing: 90 days.
• Payment records: as long as tax law requires, without your essays.

TruBand is for people aged 18 and over.
